Concerned about the current state of the clothing industry, and frustrated by how quickly his two-year-old nephew outgrew the garments he had bought for him, Ryan Mario Yasin set out to address the problem by using a background in aeronautical engineering to push innovation in children’s wear for social and environmental benefit. Created during his time as a Global Innovation Design post-graduate student at Royal College of Art and Imperial College London, Ryan’s solution is Petit Pli – clothes that grow. Petit Pli’s current designs fit children from 9 months to 4 years and are embedded with patent-pending technology which Ryan while he was still a student. Watch this film to find out more
